A few weeks ago, Guillén (www.guillen-group.com) attended new orders of semitrailers from Qatar, specifically, for the same customer to which we had already sent units in 2014. For the company, “it’s a very good sign that in these new markets, that clients take in count positively the options our semitrailers offer in terms of quality, resistance, reduced weight, durability and maintenance level, as well as the facilities that we offer when sending the units, the logistics, advice and post-sale service”. And, above all, “it’s a huge satisfaction that a client continues buying our products, due to the good results that the Guillén semitrailers gave him”.

The order is made up of flat container chassis semitrailers, specifically the PC-40 Flat Multi 8 model, suitable for the transport of 1 x 40’ or 2 x 20’ containers, and the PC-20-3ES Tipper model 3 axles container chassis semitrailer for tipping bulk transport containers.

Guillén Desarrollos Industriales, S.L.U. has recently opened a new commercial line with Lithuania, following its commercial expansion policy, which has been doing for some time.

Last week, Guillén (www.guillen-group.com) supplied to a new Lithuanian customer a six units order of PC-40-HC X Light container chassis semitrailers. Our customer knew about our brand as he had seen them traveling through complicated roads and adverse weather conditions in ex soviet countries roads such as Russia.

Specifically, we are talking about the PC-40-HC X Light container chassis semitrailer with reduced death weight for the transport of 40’ High Cube containers. Its design guarantees quality and durability and the hot dip galvanized chassis assures, at the same time, a high resistance to corrosion in such adverse weather conditions.

Guillén explains that the Lithuanian customer “has chosen the Guillén semitrailers because of its low death weight, durability in extreme conditions but, above all the others, for the capacity that allows him to do his demanding job as well as for the design”.

Guillén Desarrollos Industriales, S.L.U.Group Guillén’s subsidiary responsible for the manufacture of the brand’s semitrailers, presents the new Dolly EVO model, a special vehicle with new improved characteristics and functionalities respect to its older Dolly version. The Dolly EVO, which has already been launched into the market, counts with a weight optimization and starts with an initial Death Weight of 2,310kg.

In the past few months, Guillén has started its own rEVOlution coinciding with the 120th anniversary of the Group, which implies, among other aspects, the launching of new products into the market. From Guillén, we point out that with the Dolly EVO “we’ve wanted to join efforts and put into practice our experience and knowledge acquired through our R&D, purchases, production, human resources, logistics, and sales departments to renew our Dolly model –which has been manufactured since 2006 and marketed exclusively in Scandinavia- and achieve to develop and manufacture the newer and more versatile Dolly EVO model, with an initial weight optimization and an increase of the vehicles’ configurations”.

The Dolly EVO is orientated to the known Euro Modular combinations (E.M.S.=Euro Modular System), and it starts with a minimum Death Weight of 2,310kg equipped with Ø430mm disc brake axles. Also, the weight includes all the required equipment for this type of model, such as a last generation E.B.S. with Roll Stability System, CAN bus repeater and trailer control valve, as well as the inclusion of an 18 tonne turning table with a manual blocking installed under the 5th wheel for the improvement of the manoeuvring. As well, the Dolly EVOcounts with the hot dip galvanization treatment, a technic, which is already a characteristic in Guillén for the Dolly EVO’s protection and guarantees its durability.

Another of the Dolly EVO’s characteristics is its capacity of multiple combinations. You can choose from a base height for the 5th wheel, which starts from the 950mm for Mega semitrailers, or instead the options for the Maxi and normal semitrailers, as well as its adaptation options to the different heights of the towing truck, depending on each other necessities. Likewise, it can be configured with self steering axles to increase the manoeuvring of the model and the telematics for semitrailers among others.

Guillen releases the G-LIG, a new lighter and resistant Curtain Sider semitrailer

CATEGORIES: Uncategorized

Guillén Desarrollos Industriales S.L.U., company within Group Guillen responsible for the manufacture of the Guillen brand semitrailers, has released the G-LIG to the market, the lightest semitrailers ever designed and manufactured by the company. We are talking about a new innovatory model of the Curtain Sider, which starts with an initial Death Weight of 5,400kg, which means a considerable reduction of weight compared to the actual semitrailer.

The new G-LIG, which will substitute the  model G110, a total reference in the semitrailer sector due to its resistance and durability, is the result of all the experience and knowledge acquired and applied by Guillen during its more than 120 years of history and in the technology of high strength materials. From Group Guillen (www.guillen-group.com) we highlight that “we targeted to increase the level of our G110  model with, at least, the same resistance and durability but with an important weight reduction. And not only we’ve achieved to reduce 600kg of the semitrailer, we’ve also reduced the size of the semitrailers neck to a total of 100mm”. Also, we explain the reason for its name: “We’ve wanted to pay tribute the main driver of our Group, Mr Luis Ideal Guillén, who past away the past 4th of August 2015, and give his initials LIG to our best semitrailer”.

G LIG’s Characteristics

The new G-LIG, starts with a low initial Death Weight of 5,400kg, 600kg less respect to its older version the G110, which will allow the clients to improve its competitiveness due to being able to increase the load capacity approximately about 2.6%, having in mind the actual legislation or, on the contrary, if the load isn’t increase and the same activity is performed, you’d be able to decrease the amount of petrol consumption and decrease the weathering of the tyres.

Also, the G-LIG  counts with a high resistance floor according to ENV-1995-1-1 (fork lift truck axle weight 7.100kg.), maximum separation between cross members of 382mm., extended rear end crosspiece with integrated floor protection for docks, Ø430mm. disk brake axles and hot dip galvanized once the chassis structure is completely finished.

Guillen Group introduces a new lighter refrigerated semitrailer

CATEGORIES: Uncategorized

NEXT-rent, the renting and leasing company of Guillen Group, which continues on its growing and diversifying path, has introduced a new lighter refrigerator semitrailer to its fleet, which has a starting initial death weight of 7,300kg. The mono temperature semitrailer series of the X Light range made by entails a really important loss of weight in comparison with the majority of the refrigerated semitrailers.

For Guillen Group (www.guillen-group.com), with this addition to our products we were looking to “offer the client an option to increase the payload in each journey for the same costs of petrol and emissions, or a decrease in the petrol amount used to carry the same load as before compared to other refrigerated semitrailers as well as a smaller weathering of the wheels due to less support and drag of the semitrailer”.

NEXT-rent has chosen a reinforced version of the refrigerated model, fundamentally orientated to the distribution and logistics sector. The new model with an initial death weight of 7,300kg. its homologated according to EN-12642 code XL and also integrates the new 3 sensor TailGuard system, which automatically immobilizes the semitrailer in an autonomous way, at the programmed distance away from the loading dock or whatever obstacle which interferes with the vehicle when moving in reverse gear, avoiding any damages and unscheduled stops of the semitrailer. As it happens with the rest of Next-rent’s fleet, the X Light semitrailers include the highest security and prevention standards, such as the axes with Ø430mm. disk brake, the EBS brake system with R.S.S. and wear pad sensors connected to the EBS, among others.

The Next-rent fleet is formed with the most technologically advanced semitrailers of the market. It provides a wide range of semitrailers like Curtain Siders, Dry Freight Vans and reefers as well as Fixed and Extendable Container Chassis Semitrailers in different configurations and also ISO Containers, as well as other logistical solutions such reach stackers, terminal tractors and whatever other logistic assets complementary to the ranges listed.
